Compare personalized offers from 80+ banks and NBFCs based on your income and credit profile.

Now that you can see how much a prepayment saves you, the next step is making sure you're on the lowest rate possible — a lower rate compounds with every prepayment you make.

Ambak compares real offers from 80+ banks and NBFCs in real time, so you don't have to visit each lender separately or negotiate on your own.

A lower interest rate doesn't just reduce your EMI — it means every future prepayment you make saves you even more interest, which is exactly what the calculator above is tracking. Compare your options below to see what you actually qualify for.

Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about home loan prepayment and how this calculator works.

Should I reduce my tenure or my EMI after a prepayment?
Reducing tenure (keeping your EMI the same) saves you more total interest, since the loan closes sooner. Reducing EMI (keeping your original tenure) improves your monthly cash flow instead. Toggle between both above to compare the exact numbers for your loan.
Are there any charges for prepaying my home loan?
For floating-rate home loans to individuals, RBI/NHB guidelines prohibit lenders from charging foreclosure or prepayment penalties — so this calculator assumes no penalty. Fixed-rate loans may differ; check your loan agreement.
What happens if my prepayment covers my entire outstanding loan?
We treat that as a full foreclosure — your loan would be completely paid off, so there's no new EMI or tenure to show, just confirmation that you're done.
How does a recurring prepayment work?
A recurring prepayment applies the same amount every year in the same month as your first prepayment, until your loan is fully paid off — we never apply a prepayment after your loan has already closed in the simulation.
